DIFC COURTS' PRO BONO LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR 2016

We are proud to announce that this year’s Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year Award was presented to James Berry & Associates Legal Consultants in recognition of its commitment to access to justice through its participation in the Pro Bono Programme. The Pro Bono team at James Berry & Associates Legal Consultants comprises of Nichola Reece-Burton, Rhiannon Davies and Aqsa Khan Sadiq.

The firm’s aim is to continue to provide regular, good quality pro bono advice to individuals and companies in the areas of property, employment and contract law, within the context of the Dubai International Financial Centre.

Our Head of Litigation, Nichola Reece-Burton, who attended the Legal Gala dinner on 20^th October this year comments:

 “As usual, the Gala dinner was a well attended and well organised event. It is always an evening that I look forward to, as it is an opportunity to meet other legal  professionals in a relaxed, social setting, rather than in our (often) adversarial roles. It was also particularly enjoyable to attend this year, having been nominated for, and voted as, the ‘Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year 2016’. I am very proud to be part of the Pro Bono team in our firm and would encourage all other lawyers to participate in this very worthwhile Programme.’

“Common Law lawyers can easily forget that apart from their duty to their client, they also have a duty to the legal process or tribunal to assist in ensuring that matters are dealt with fairly and pro bono is an important part of this”.
