Yes, you heard right!

For the first time in UAE, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has established the English-language Notary Services Bureau, as part of its ongoing commitment to providing world-class notarial and legal services in the Middle East region.

This is a welcome decision for residents and business owners as it will assist in streamlining the legal documentation procedure and continue to attract and retain foreign investment in the country.

The ADJD will provide comprehensive digital notary services specially designed for individuals and businesses who wish to have their transactions notarised in the English language.

Various documents that can now be notarised through the English Language Notary Service Bureau including:

• All types of contracts
• Declarations and undertakings
• Settlement agreements
• All types of power of attorney
• Signature authentication
• Resolutions of the Board of Directors
• Minutes of meetings
• Any similar documents issued by companies, private and public legal persons while conducting business in UAE.

We have been assured by ADJD that all documents that have been notarized by the ADJD will be accepted throughout the UAE and this Notary Service will be provided to all the 7 Emirates.
