Maternity leave in the UAE

An employee, who has been employed with her employer for two years has just given birth and is denied maternity leave and pay.

Under Article 30 of the UAE Labour Law, a female employee is entitled to 45 days of maternity leave with full pay, including both pre and post natal periods, as long as she has completed atleast one year of continuous service with her employer.
