Outline for Civil Marriages procedure in Dubai

Not only is there a process for civil marriages for Expatriates to take place in Dubai / UAE, the process can now be done within a day, provided that all the requirements are met.

The steps have also been simplified :

To start the process, you should visit an Al Adheed Centre that has been authorised by the Dubai Courts to provide specific judicial services ie making applications in personal status matters including marriage and the services of a Notary Public, as well as other services.  These centres can be found at Al Yalayis, Wafi Mall or Al Barsha Traffic Building.
Staff will assist you to complete the digital form and check the consent of both parties.
The parties then sign the form electronically.
The form and relevant documents are sent to a Judge to verify that all legal requirements are completed.
Once checked and all is in order, the Judge signs the document.
The marriage contract is documented and approved electronically.
The marriage contract is sent to the parties via text message and email
The fee for the marriage certificate is AED 220.
